Come celebrate with us!
Throughout the year, the FKRNA celebrates two Islam official holidays: Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Fitr. The former is celebrated at the end of the month of Ramadan, whereas Eid Al-Adha lands on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah (the final month of the Islamic calendar). Additionally, we celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings upon him). Our biggest event is the Great Magal of Touba which commemorates the departure to the exile of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacke every 18th of the month of Safar. Another event is the celebration of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Day every 26th of July in Washington DC. Finally, we celebrate our venerated Caliphs and Mouride elders who passed away and contributed enormously to the cause of Islam.
